In North Carolina on Thursday afternoon, a litter of helpless puppies had been abandoned and left in a plastic bin in the woods as temperatures soared over 90 degrees. Too small to crawl out of the bin, the puppies would have suffered unimaginable suffering and ultimately death.

“… they were found before they all suffered a horrible death,” Jackie O’Sullivan wrote on the Facebook page for Rescue Dogs Rock NYC, the nonprofit rescue organization that has volunteered to help.

The Good Samaritan who found the puppies placed them in a crate, and when the plea went out for emergency help, Rescue Dogs Rock NYC immediately stepped up.

“Some miserable, evil person just left them there to die. How sickening is that?, Jackie continued. “There is NO excuse! They are innocent babies who never asked to be born.

The puppies are now on their way to the organization’s partner veterinarian hospital in North Carolina. Updates will be provided.
