A family in Baker, Florida, is desperate to find their year old therapy dog, Konner, who they believe was stolen on August 22. Konner, a Yorkshire terrier, belongs to Debbie Moore, who tells the Pet Rescue Report that she heard a car on the night of August 22 while she was outside with Konner, who was outside for a potty break.
Konner usually doesn’t leave Moore’s side…but on this night she believes that someone grabbed him when he went to investigate. In a Facebook post, she recounts what happened:
We have a new home on our property so it’s sooooooooo dark. But he always stayed with me. Unless he was eating Mr Jerry’s berries next to us ( sorry mr jerry) a car pulled down a road not used unless by locals and slowed down. My guard was down. I was comfortable and tired and wanted my guy to hurry. When I saw through the bush brake lights I immediately looked for Konner who I could not spot in the dark so went to my car to grab a flash light. I heard a door open and when I turned on the light he was gone. I went to start running and the passenger door closed and the car went out of sight. I ran back to my car and attempted to find them with no luck.
A $1,000 reward is being offered for Konner’s safe return. The family has also put up dozens of fliers, and set up a Facebook page (click here) to post updates and get the word out.
Anyone with information on Konnor’s wherabouts should reach out to the numbers listed on the flier.
