In Marion, Ohio, a heartbroken senior dog was returned to the shelter after his owner died. Bo, an eight-year-old Labrador retriever mix, had been adopted from the Marion Area Humane Society by an older man who immediately fell in love with Bo.

For the greater part of a year, Bo and his human were best friends. According to the shelter, Bo’s owner would even bring the dog back to the shelter for visits – where staff members and volunteers were thrilled with the senior dog’s new life.

“Today a lady came in with tears in her eyes. Her father had passed away.
Bo lost his person and he is heartbroken- we can see it in his eyes.

This sweet boy needs another person to love. We will take good care of him here at the shelter, but we all know it doesn’t compare to being in a home.

Hopefully he doesn’t have to stay here as long as he did the first time.”

And here he is again. Bo would do best in a quiet home without children or cats. If interested in giving this poor soul a new home, please contact the shelter at 740.389.6548. Share Bo’s story with friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives and brings together our four-footed friends with us.
