The heartbreaking photo of a surrendered dog, too scared to come out of his kennel cage at the Harris County Animal Shelter, has gone viral. Toby, a four-year-old German shepherd mix was left at the shelter late last week; his family was moving, and Toby wasn’t included in their new home plans.
For more information about Toby call:

Rescues and the shelter both need foster homes so they have a place for the animal to go. Who can foster (temporarily keep an animal in your home – like pet sitting)? Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you live in Harris County OR comment below the video that you are willing to foster and people can connect you to a rescue that can help. When you foster, you help the shelter create more space in shelter which enables them to save more lives.
