Injured dog found with 'free' on collar

Good Samaritan finds badly injured dog with collar that says ‘free’

Over the weekend, a good Samaritan found a badly injured dog wearing a collar with the word “free” written on it. The finder reached out to The Arrow Fund for assistance. On Sunday, the agency posted images of the wounded dog, writing:

LOOK AT WHAT THE COLLAR
SAYS! FOUND BADLY INJURED ON THE SIDE OF THE
ROAD IN RADCLIFF, KENTUCKY. HE IS BEING ASSESSED AT BLUE PEARL NOW! WE ARE OUTRAGED!

How sad! Do you see what this collar says? This boy was found on the side of the road suffering.

The Arrow Fund thanked Amanda Barley for stopping to check on the injured dog, who has been dubbed Daktari. As reported by WAVE 3 News, a veterinary exam revealed that Daktari has a broken femur, and possibly a broken pelvis.

Donations are being collected to help get Daktari all of the veterinary care that he needs. If you are interested in helping, you can make a donation through thearrowfund.org, or checks may be sent to The Arrow Fund P.O. Box 1127, Prospect, Kentucky 40059.
