An eight-year-old Washington state girl had one wish for Christmas…gifts of cash. As reported by KEPR News, it was Landyn Wadsworth’s wish to get funds to buy food for the homeless pets at the Tri-Cities Animal Shelter.

On Christmas Eve, the shelter posted a photo of Wadsworth and the fruits of her labor, writing:

Landyn’s wish for Christmas was food donations for the shelter and it looks like her wish came true!! We are so grateful for your kindness and I’m sure the dogs and cats are too!!

KEPR News reports that Wadsworth collected enough money to purchase 600 pounds of food for the shelter pets, and she has already started raising money for the coming year’s donation.

Merry Christmas Landyn – you are setting the best type of example for others.
