The future looks bleak for a senior dog who was surrendered to a busy animal control agency in Downey, California. The dog, Tasha, was surrendered to the Southeast Area Animal Control Authority (SEAACA) on September 7, and shortly thereafter, she was attacked by a kennel mate.
Is there anyone who will step up to save this old girl? She has so much going against her…she is older, she is a mixed breed, she is dark in color, and she doesn’t have any stunning photos circulating on social media. An advocate writes:
Tasha’s chances look bleak. She is a senior, dark in color, and we don’t have any fancy photos of her. She was abandoned by her owner & then attacked by her kennel mate, and soon she’ll take her last walk.
🌟 Beautiful, tender, 77 lb senior Tasha has had a rough week. Her owner discarded her like garbage & then the dog she was kenneled with roughed her up & gave her some gashes in her forehead. She doesn’t understand why life has gotten so hard, or so lonely. Her physical wounds have been tended to, now let’s tend to her heart. DOWNEY (Seaaca Shelter), CA
