A family in Greensboro, North Carolina are questioning police after their dog was shot four times on Sunday for being aggressive. The pooch, Apollo, is currently recovering from his wounds and is expected to survive.

According to Fox News, a Greensboro police officer responded to an aggressive animal call; Apollo had escaped from the family’s home. The officer pulled out his gun and repeatedly shot the dog, however the family disputes that Apollo had been aggressive and charged the officer.

“The bullet holes are not consistent with that story,” the mother of the dog’s owner Sandy Harrell stated. “They’re all from the backside as if he were running away.”

Apollo is a pit bull, and one of the neighbors didn’t like him. Aside from that, the family loves their dog. Fortunately none of the bullets hit any internal organs, and after one night at the veterinary hospital, Apollo was on his way home.

The Greensboro police are conducting an internal investigation into the shooting.

  1. Another scumbag lying cowardly cop shooting a defenseless dog. The incident probably began with the “neighbor” calling in a report of an aggeressive dog so that the police would respond and kill the dog. In some sense the police officer was probably set up by the neighbor. Were that asshole my neighbor, he would begin to have some mysterious problems around his house; trees and bushes suddenly dying, problems with his vehicles parked outside, damage to his house, etc. I would find ways to make that SOB pay.

    • Exactly. We used to have a dog hating neighbor in a dog loving neighborhood.

After realizing this, he finally moved and another dog loving family moved in!!!

That neighbor who set up the cops to shoot my dog would have a “war” on his hands….. his life would be absolutely miserable (all activities within the law), but a miserable life……

  2. THIS “DEMANDS” A THOROUGH INVESTIGATION! PLEASE–KEEP THIS PRECIOUS DOG SAFE! ALSO, BE VERY AWARE OF THE HATEFUL NEIGHBOR!

ALSO REMEMBER–JUST AS THERE IS A “SPECIAL PLACE” IN HEAVEN FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS–THERE IS ALSO ONE IN HELL!
