Blind senior dog surrendered
Spread the love

Imagine being loaded into a car and driven to a strange place and abandoned by your family. Imagine the added confusion of being left at that same facility as a blind dog – it would be exceptionally confusing and terrifying! This is the reality for Cassie, a blind dog who is currently homeless in Gardena, California.

On Friday morning, the volunteer-run Facebook page, Saving Carson Shelter Dogs, writes:

Sweet CASSIE was left so confused after 8 years because her family got too busy and she is BLIND!. The sweetest girl you will ever meet and when she feel you pet her she automatically flips over and gives you her belly and a huge tail wag! She has advanced obedience skills they said.

Cassie did nothing wrong to warrant her current situation. Her family simply got too busy to care for her anymore. Will you please help her find a new, committed owner?

  1. OMG: It’s absolutely heartbreaking how cruel some individuals are to companion animals…… I just don’t understand it…… companion animals ARE family members from date of adoption to date they go to Heaven…..

That poor, precious treasure…… my instinct is to want to snuggle her and reassure her that the world is “OK”……

Has anyone contacted Frosted Faces or No Paws Left Behind?

I don’t know who to contact at either group, just that they can (& often do) help with seniors and medically fragile cases…..

I have had two blind furbabies in the past and recently adopted another blind furbaby. Blind furbabies are the same as any other furbaby. They beg for treats, snuggle, hate bathies, love car rides, love Grammy & Grampy…..

I hope a rescue group can save Cassie. She deserves to be treated as a beloved family member for however long a time she has left and not die in the shelter alone, afraid and (worst of all) unloved…….

WTF is wrong with people??? Most of us want our furbabies to be with us for as long as possible and we savor each and every day our precious treasures are with us……

This so called family who gave up on Cassie has reserved places in Hell waiting where they will burn forever for their cruelty…… Do they really think there is a long line of potential adopters for an elderly, blind furbaby???

  2. PLEASE–SELFISH HEARTLESS LUNATICS DO NOT DESERVE SWEET BEAUTIFUL DOGS LIKE THIS! CASSIE DESERVES A “SANE” AND “LOVING”
FAMILY! PLEASE HELP HER FAST–THIS IS A HIGH KILL FACILITY!
