In Van Nuys, California, a family dog was dumped at the East Valley Animal Shelter. Her entire human family lightheartedly explained to the shelter staff that their nine-year-old dog, Junebug, was scared of fireworks and “might” jump the fence.

“And then the family, without an iota of sorrow for abandoning their loyal 9-year-old pet, went laughingly out to the kennels to look around,” a volunteer at the shelter explained.

Junebug deserves so much better. Share her plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives, and we are Junebug’s advocates. Help this gentle German shepherd/Labrador retriever mix, find a family that will be responsible and committed to her.

Check out Junebug’s adoption listing here.

  1. BRAiNLESS HEARTLESS SELFISH DISGUSTING LOWLIFES!

PLEASE help Junebug find a family that is HUMAN and CAPABLE OF FEELINGS!

  2. Our dogs, cats AND horses all are terrified of fireworks. We don’t go to parties. We sedate everyone (per our veterinary hospital instructions) and stay with them to ensure they remain calm. Best party is when we have everyone over (& each critter has a lap or two to get snuggles)……..

  3. Now THERE is an excuse for you, afraid of fireworks and MIGHT jump the fence. Well put the dog inside then! I wish nothing good to people who do things like this, they should be ashamed but I’m sure they aren’t. You have to have a heart to care and these people obviously don’t!
