On Friday morning, a blind senior was traumatized after his family left him at the Carson Animal Care Center in California. Indigo, a 10-year-old male Pomeranian, shook uncontrollably not knowing what happened to him. A volunteer tells a part of his heartbreaking story.

“His family took him in years ago after he live a traumatizing life and now at 12 and BLIND they left at the shelter because they said he is still ‘fearful.’ He has lived outside with other dogs and he has lived with children and has never had any aggressive incidents; he is just so terrified and needs someone he can trust…”

“This is tough to watch. This guy strips little 12 year old, blind Indigo of his collar and harness. He is afraid and doesn’t understand what is happening. They put a rope around his neck… I am speechless watching this. Sad doesn’t even begin to describe the horror this dog is put through. I am so sorry. Please, please share this precious doll. There has to be a happy ending. Please. Thank you,” Indigo’s post read on Facebook.
