Ezequil found his angel: Dumped and about to be put to sleep

In Los Angeles, California, a three-year-old dog suddenly became dispensable; he had lived his entire time with his family – that is until it had been  alleged to have been a gripe with the landlord. And on October 25, Ezequil was  surrendered; he had no say in the process and apparently never adjusted to the noises, the strangers and the constant turmoil of a county animal shelter.

His shelter notes were listed:

“URGENT URGENT: Look at how terrified Ezequil, #A1906663, is. He is slated to be murdered on Wednesday, 12/11. He is out of time. He just hides in his cubby shaking. He was dumped on 10/25 due to landlord and contract. They’ve had him his whole life and this is the solution. He is only 3 years old. He has a behavioral note for will bite, keep hands out, even though his owners left nothing but good notes on him.”

And there was more:

“His owner surrender notes are AMAZING (take a look for yourself)! According to them, he’s a gentle, sweet dog who has spent time around cats, dogs, and small children. He knows his basic commands and is overall a great dog!! He is so shut down in the shelter that no one has been able to see that side of him, but we’re hoping a #homefortheholidays will make his young, exuberant self come to life 🤞 RESCUE/ADOPT/FOSTER Ezequil TODAY!!!”

And now mix advocates with a heart, advocates with contacts, social media and the ability to share – Ezequil has been rescued!

On Tuesday, just 24-hours before he would have been humanely euthanized at the South Los Angeles Animal Shelter, Ezequil took his freedom ride.  Follow his journey here.
