In Elk Grove, California, the father of a dog owner’s grandchild was arrested on Friday for allegedly stomping the woman’s 12-pound dog to death. Raymond Howard-Sala faces misdemeanor animal cruelty charges; felony charges are pending.
According to Fox News, the loss of her Chihuahua mix, named Kainoa, has broken the heart of her owner, Dani Morris.
“He didn’t deserve it. He’s a good dog. He did not deserve to be brutally killed like that,” softly cried Dani speaking with news reporters.
The tragic details of her dog’s death unraveled when Dani returned home on Friday and just knew something was wrong when neither of her dogs were at the door greeting her. There had been no excited “mommy is home” barking. Dani spotted her other dog Shia, but Kainoa was missing. That’s when Dani confronted Howard-Sala.
Howard-Sala admitted he had been drinking all day and then told the woman Kainoa had “effing bit me.” He then allegedly admitted to kicking the dog. Dani thinks he “stomped him to death.” Kainoa’s lifeless body was found in his dog bed.
Dani is hoping her dog finds justice. Don’t we all. Rest in peace little one.

What an evil POS! That poor little dog! I do hope there is some justice dealt out but I won’t hold my breath. Too many times the punishment for a evil deed like this amounts to nothing more than a “slap” on the wrist! Rest in peace precious Kainoa, and my condolences to Dani, I can imagine the heartbreak you suffered finding your little dog like this! .
