In Kerala, India, an elephant trainer was accidentally crushed to death after he hit the elephant so hard the man lost his balance and fell underneath the animal.
According to Mail Online, video of Arun Panikkar, 40, showed the caretaker washing the elephant and could be seen trying to make the animal lie down so he could clean his back. When the elephant protested, Panikkar hit it with a stick, but as he beat the animal, he lost his balance and fell – just as the elephant sat down and landed on the man’s head.
An assistant rushed into view of the camera and is than seen trying to move the elephant, but the animal wouldn’t budge. Finally he uses a huge stick to get the animal to stand and pulled Panikkar from underneath; it was too late – the man had been killed instantly from a crushed skull.
An investigation is ongoing. The elephant is owned by a local hospital trust.

I think we know they won’t let him run free. Unfortunately, they will probably give him extra punishment for killing one of the trainers, even if it was an accident.
What goes around comes around. Release this elephant to a sanctuary. He only did what the man wanted him to do although a few seconds to late. Glad this happened. May make more of these owners think twice what they make an elephant do.

Not one ounce of sympathy for the heartless abuser! Regarding the innocent defenseless elephant, everyone must know that this was clearly an accident! In any case, this should be FOLLOWED AND INVESTIGATED VERY CLOSELY to make sure the elephant is not mistreated in any way! Please provide updates.

I love good news like this because the scumbag deserves this. Please do not tell me the elephant will be destroyed but it was okay for him to get beat. Leave the elephant alone and bring him to a sanctuary
HA, HA, HA! I pray that starts to happen on a REGULAR basis! Unfortunately, this poor elephant was probably tortured, maimed and hacked on daily, dying a long, slow and VERY painful death. These INBRED freaks have NO respect for ANY OTHER LIVING entity EXCEPT themselves! These evil bastards allow infant GIRLS to starve to death because they’re MAD they didn’t have a boy. These babies are LITERALLY HIDDEN away in a back yard, usually in a shed, to die slowly from starvation and neglect. They do NOTHING for these baby girls, no food, no water, no diapers, and no bathing. They just lay in their urine and what little feces they have and DIE! So the next book YOU book an elephant ride, THE ABOVE REFERENCES ARE WHAT YOU ARE SUPPORTING! Remember: God sees ALL and forgets NOTHING. AND, ignorance of God’s law is NO excuse.
