Elderly shepherd forgotten at shelter
Spread the love

An elderly German shepherd has seemingly been forgotten at a California animal control agency. The 12-year-old dog, Gaga, has been held at the Long Beach Animal Care Services facility since June…fast forward to August and she still remains alone in her kennel run.

Notes for the shelter have been provided about this beautiful, senior dog:

Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Special Need: Senior, dental disease, alopecia. Friendly and social, senior lady. Recommend dental and being treated for alopecia.

  1. WTF is wrong with people??? Most of us want our furbabies to be with us for as long as possible and we savor each and every day our precious treasures are with us……

This so called family who gave up Gaga has reserved places in Hell waiting where they will burn forever for their cruelty…… Do they really think there is a long line of potential adopters for an elderly medically fragile furbaby???

They should have contacted the many groups that offer financial assistance for vet bills………

I hope Frosted Faces or Leave No Paws Behind or another rescue group can save Gaga. She deserves to be treated as a beloved family member for however long a time she has left and not die in the shelter alone, afraid and (worst of all) unloved…….
