At 11 years of age, and elderly dog named Dober was surrendered to a busy California animal care facility because his family no longer wanted the responsibility of pet ownership. Now, Dober is one of hundreds of homeless dogs at the facility who needs to find somewhere to go.

Dober’s face has grayed and his body is no longer youthful and strong – but he is still alive and ready to be loved. According to the volunteer-run Facebook page, Saving Carson Shelter Dogs, Dober was surrendered to the shelter with another senior dog named Paris.

A post was made on Sunday about the pair:

Sweet DOBER was left with his BONDED SISTER PARIS #A4254971 after 11 years because they didn’t want the responsibility anymore and they need some help now. Please SHARE, a FOSTER or Adopter would save them and hopefully keep them together.

Paris is an elder dog as well – in fact, she is a bit older, with her age listed as 12 years. These old dogs are in need of help to get out of the crowded facility alive.

  1. AT the very LEAST the POS owners DID take these two little dogs to a facility and didn’t dump them off on the freeway or out in the woods!! That is about the only descent thing I can say for them though!!! Maybe their children or other family member’s will take both these uncaring beings to a Low Class Facility or a Homeless Shelter and dump them there … This is after they remove Mom’s diamond rings, close out the bank accounts and sell all their personal possessions. … and disappear with the vehicles …. ONE CAN ONLY HOPE!!! CAN WE NOT!!! What about FROSTED FACES!!! ARE THEY STILL FUNCTIONING!! I have not seen any posts for them or about them!!!!

  2. These people are beyond being scum and hope their children do the same to them when they are old. Two senior dogs.Dober 11, and Paris 12. Who do these owners think will adopt their elderly dogs? There are quite a few adopters who want seniors and 2 from the same house might be good and work great since they are familiar with each other. Hope a loving adopter sees them and scoops them up. They are still adorable looking.

  3. SMH: I don’t understand how anyone could abandon a senior furbaby…… let alone 2 bonded furbabies…… my family always had animals and they were with us from their adoption or rescue until they left this Earth for Heaven…..

I truly believe that anyone who is deliberately cruel to others (people or animals) will burn in Hell forever for their cruelty…..

I hope and pray that these two wonderful little treasures are rehomed into loving furever families where they will be treated as the precious treasures they are!!!
