In Edmond, Oklahoma, a man is facing multiple charges after allegedly shooting the family Chihuahua with a .357 Magnum for peeing in the house. James Aaron Edwards had been drinking heavily and now faces charges of animal cruelty, possession of an offensive weapon while committing a felony, carrying a firearm while under the influence of alcohol and discharging a firearm in a public place.
According to News4, a woman called authorities on March 14 stating she had been at a friend’s home when Edwards began yelling at the family’s Chihuahua that he was going to kill it after the pup urinated in the house. Edwards then sent his wife a text message telling her that he killed their nine-year-old dog, named Tater and buried it in the backyard.
A surveillance video taken from the home showed Edwards holding a gun and placing the dog between his feet and shooting. A neighbor heard a gunshot coming from the home.
After obtaining a search warrant, Tater’s body was found buried in the yard. Edwards’ wife said her husband suffers from PTSD from serving in the military.

So the wife is going to blame it on PTSD? Will she feel the same if he gets drunk and kills her? If he was in that bad of shape then she should never have been allowed a gun in his possession. I hope they throw the book at this POS drunk! There are many veterans with PTSD that don’t go around killing their pets!
PTSD my ass! That is the biggest cop-out excuse for every ex-military person who commits some stupid act of violence. This guy is just an asshole who committed a “murder” while he was drunk. Lock him up before he hurts another animal or worse a person (you know, like his wife). And if his wife is even half-smart she will kick him out and get away from him.
