Dozens of dead dogs have been found dead inside of a U-haul truck in Pharr, Texas. As reported by KRGV News, the grim discovery was made during a traffic stop after the authorities received an anonymous tip. Christina Arriaga is suspected of being responsible for the deaths of the 33 dogs who were found inside of the truck on May 9.
The local animal control agency had been tipped off to a potential hoarding situation at the VIP Estates Apartments, reports KVEO News. A tenant at the apartments reached out for help after noticing a “bad smell,” and constant barking and howling coming from one of the units. Frank Villarreal, supervisor for the City of Pharr Animal Control, tells KRGV News that several attempts were made to get into the apartment, but nobody was ever at the residence.
It is surmised that the dogs were loaded into the truck in order to avoid animal control’s inquiries, and possible fines. One dog did survive the U-haul truck and is receiving care.

How many ways are there to spell scumbag? This person (if you can even call her that) deserves to suffer the same fate as those dogs – lock her in room, no food or water, leave her to die alone and suffering. No sympathy for this low-life. I would hope she would be charged with 33 counts of animal cruelty, convicted on all counts, and given the maximum sentence on each count with sentences to be served consecutively (not concurrently). Of course that won’t happen but it would at least come somewhat close to justice for those poor dogs.
How disgusting! This woman needs to be locked in a U-haul and left to die. The authorities in Texas won’t do anything about her, it’s just a dog! We see too much of this sort of thing coming out of this state!
This sick lunatic needs to be locked up and left to “rot” in a truck. Better yet–she should be run over by one!
