Waiting for owner

A poignant photo captures the heartbreaking image of a dog who is waiting for an owner who will never return. The dog, a three-year-old Labrador retriever mix named Moose, is now in the care of Eleventh Hour Rescue and he needs a new home.

The photo, posted to social media on Monday, includes an explanatory caption:

Moose sat patiently next to his dad’s hospital bed, waiting for him to return, not knowing that “Dad” had passed away. He’s taking the loss of his dad pretty hard. Please help Moose find a new home with people for him to love – he’s a sweet happy boy by nature. He just needs people to help his heart heal.

Information about Moose’s personality has been provided:

Housebroken, adores kids, okay with dogs (pretty much neutral to them), not meant for a home with cats or birds. But people, boy, does he love them! So much so that Moose would do best in a home where he wasn’t left home alone all day long, he misses his people too much.

Animals hurt like we do. Please help Moose find a new person to love – someone who can help heal his broken heart.

Location: Randolph, NJ
