It happened on Thursday in South Texas; a dog who lived for 12 years tied to her doghouse in the backyard of a home was rescued from filth, debris and dirty drinking water.
With the help of local authorities, Rescue Dogs Rock NYC, rescued Cleo. Sadly, this is the life of many dogs across the country who are no more than neglected lawn ornaments. This girl, however is one of the lucky ones. Authorities released her from the chain and her miserable life where she was infrequently fed, slept amid her own feces and urine, drink black water and endured extensive pain.
Cleo is currently receiving emergency care and treatment. Many thanks to Rescue Dogs Rock NYC for their extra efforts in the most desperate cases. If you see something, say something. Be the voices for those who cannot speak.
As of this time, there have been no charges against the dog’s owner.
