A dog, who disappeared after the car she was in was stolen in Denver, Colorado, has been found in Kansas City. As reported by Fox 4 News, seven-year-old Goose was found wandering outside of a Kansas City area hotel.

A good Samaritan took the Labrador retriever to a shelter, which scanned her for a microchip. The chip’s information led back to Myles Richards, who had been desperately searching for his dog since she was taken on July 29. After getting the call that Goose had been found, Richards set out to retrieve his friend. He told Denver 7 News:

All I know is my dog is there, and I’m excited, happy and relieved.

Richards had left Goose inside of his 2016 Audi, with the air-conditioning on, while he stopped at a construction site at West 18th Avenue and Federal Boulevard. Opportunists swiped the car, with Goose inside, in the short time that Richards was away. The car has not yet been located.

Anyone with information about the car theft is asked to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.

Thank God Goose is ok. I’m so glad he was found, I hope they find the morons that stole the card and prosecute them to the fullest!
