A viral video circulating on social media Friday, showing a small white dog hanging outside of a window by its leash and being beaten by a woman, has been rescued.

According to the rescue organization, The Animal Hope & Wellness Foundation, the action shown in the disturbing video occurred in another country, but will be heading to Sherman Oaks, California along with several other dogs rescued from abuse and cruelty.

The woman seen in the video has reportedly been arrested and taken into custody.

“The rescue was done by @kome. They do amazing work with liberating dogs and cats from cruelty situations. We are excited to have the opportunity to fly some of these survivors to Los Angeles and will post them when they land. Once they are rehabilitated, we will place them up for adoption so they have a chance at a new life,” the organization posted on their Facebook page.

  1. I always wonder why someone gets a dog to only treat it like this! Do they need something to abuse? I’m glad this dog and others are safe, but how much of this is unnoticed and how many others suffering?
