A caged dog, left to die in a remote area of the woods in Woodbridge, Connecticut, likely died from exposure. The pit bull, dubbed Stella, was found last week – she was locked in a metal dog cage and placed in an area where it was unlikely that she would be found.
A necropsy was done on the dog’s body and the results indicate that she likely died from exposure to the heat and humidity. The gray and white dog appeared to be otherwise healthy and well cared for. An outraged animal loving community is hoping for answers – who owned Stella? Who left her to die?
Contributions for a reward to find her abuser can be directed to: One Big Dog, 135 Bradley Road, Woodbridge, CT 06525.
If you have any information about Stella’s owner, or this cruel case, please contact Woodbridge Regional Municipal Animal Control, located at 135 Bradley Road, Woodbridge, CT 06525, at (203)389-5991
