Dog betrayed by family who moved without him

On August 24, a beautiful, purebred dog found himself unceremoniously dropped at a busy California animal control agency. The three-year-old German shepherd, Bullseye, was left at the Carson Animal Services facility when his family moved away and he was not part of their future plans.

The volunteer-run Facebook page, Saving Carson Shelter Dogs, writes:

😢OWNER SURRENDER😢

😍🔷SAVE a LIFE!! ❤️ Please FOSTER or ADOPT! 🔷😍
🚨 Shelter is Filling up! 🚨

His family left him when they moved and they didn’t even give any details about this very sweet boy but he is just amazing! Please SHARE for his life, he’s SO special and a FOSTER or ADOPTER would save him. Thanks!

German shepherds are intelligent, faithful, and devoted dogs who live for their families. There is no doubt that Bullseye is feeling confused and betrayed right now as he wonders where his people have gone.

Saving Bullseye

You can help Bullseye find a new home, and a devoted family, by sharing his adoption information.

  1. I KNOW IT IS WRONG TO PRAY FOR “KARMA” BUT I AM SO SICK OF THESE SELFISH, HEARTLESS, BRAINLESS LUNATICS!

PLEASE HELP BULLSEYE–THIS IS A HIGH AND FAST KILL SHELTER!

  2. If people are not ready for the responsibility and commitment of any animal; knowing that it’s a life-long deal for that animal whether it be 10 years or 20; then they have no business getting one. It makes me sick when I see posts of abandoned pets or ads with “I need to find a new home for my dog because….” and it’s always “I can no longer care for him”, “I’m moving and my landlord won’t let me keep him” or “I’m having a baby now.” It’s my opinion that if you can no longer care for that dog then how crippled are you because it takes no time to fill food and water bowls and to walk that dog for 5 minutes or let him out in a fenced in yard if you have it and if you are laid up from something then you need to ask a family member or neighbor for help or hire someone to come in to walk him/her and fill the bowls. If a landlord says “No pets” there are ways around it. Most states have a law that stipulates if you are elderly or disabled in any manner; even something like anxiety will get your pet to stay where ever you move to. All you need is a note from your family doctor stating you require a pet for therapeutic reasons, and most often a doctor will give you that if you tell him/her that your pet is like family and that if you lose the pet that you will become heartbroken. If you’re having a baby; so what..unless you have a vicious dog you made that way you have nothing to worry about and keeping the dog would be beneficial in the long run. getting pets to “Tide you over” just until you do have kids is no excuse. Try to remember that pet was your baby before you decided to have babies.

  3. If he wasn’t so far away I’d take him. I have a Shepherd now and love these dogs. they are the very best to own; why someone would just dump him is beyond me

    • If you are serious about taking this dog, please DO IT. There are groups that will do a caravan drive and bring the animal to your home town!!!!!
