The discovery of a severely burned puppy, in Acton, Massachusetts, has prompted an animal cruelty investigation. The 12-week-old puppy, dubbed Ramona, was found by a good Samaritan in mid-November. The pup has suspected chemical burns covering 40-percent of her body and a broken leg.
On Thursday, MSPCA-Angell announced the offering of a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever is responsible for hurting Ramona:
By now you’ve likely heard of Ramona, the sweet little dog found in the woods in Acton with suspected chemical burns and a broken leg. Law enforcement officials are desperate to find out whether whether she was intentionally injured, and who may be responsible.

If you have any information that may help, please call the Acton police dept. at 978-929-7711. There is a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an animal cruelty conviction.

Ramona is continue to recovering and is undergoing a four-month quarantine due to wounds of unknown origin. We will let you all know when she’s ready for adoption!
