A despicable act of cruelty played out in Detroit, Michigan, and it claimed the life of a little dog who was callously thrown away. Detroit Dog Rescue recounted what they found after someone reported that dog had been dumped in a rubber tub, then discarded in a trash can.
The rescue agency writes:
Our team discovered the dog had already passed when we received the call, but the fresh blood around his neck and the claw marks inside indicated he was alive when he was dumped in a trash can off the side of an alley, he was still connected to his leash and collar.
The dog was still alive when he was thrown away. The dog desperately tried to claw his way out of the garbage can. The dog was made to suffer in pain and fear until his passing.
Detroit Dog Rescue writes:
We are heartbroken over this discovery, sad, and sickened, but this is the type of abuse and neglect we come across everyday.
Adding:
Rest In Peace sweet, sweet pup. The cutest tiny black dog with little white paw tips and crooked ears. You were so tiny and skinny and helpless. We wish we had the chance to love you. Fly high over the rainbow bridge. We promise, we’re trying to make Detroit better.
Tell anyone and everyone that you can…pets are NOT disposable. The cruelty must end, and we must all work together until it does!
