Dallas waiting 4 years: All dressed for Christmas but no one to love

Dallas is the longest resident at Hi Tor Animal Care Center in Rockland County, New York. He has been at the shelter for more than four years. This will be his fifth Christmas here.

On August 16, 2015, Dallas was surrendered as a one-year-old puppy because his family could no longer keep him. That was 1,576 days ago. He’s handsome, well mannered and walks well on a leash. He loves car rides, likes to jog and hike, dress up and is currently crate trained.

In addition, Dallas is affectionate, calm, doesn’t jump and isn’t one of those excessive barking pooches either. He just needs the right person to love and be loved.

Now Dallas isn’t perfect and needs to be with older children since he can get overstimulated when he sees another dog or cat. Let’s face it – this adorable boy would do best being the only pet in the house.

And here you have this beautiful dog with a huge, empty heart. Share his plight with friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives, and helps dogs like Dallas get noticed. Somewhere that perfect human awaits this beautiful soul. Be the voice for those who cannot speak.
