Cruelty exposed: Four baby squirrels found with tails tied together

In Berlin, Connecticut, four baby squirrels are expected to survive after they were found with their tails purposely tied together in a despicable case of animal cruelty.

According to the Kensington Bird and Animal Hospital, where the babies are being treated, the defenseless little ones may lose their tails, They were found on the train tracks with their tails braided together and a “human made object” used to secure the evil deed.

“We cannot stress this enough: PLEASE LEAVE WILDLIFE ALONE!!! 🚨🚨

These 4 baby squirrels were found on train tracks and brought to our hospital. Upon arrival we realized that their tails had been tangled, braided, and purposefully tied together 😡

They are all alive and on their way to recovery. Unfortunately their tails are broken and may need to be amputated. Thank you to the kind hearted person who found them and brought them in to be cared for.

Animal abuse is never ok. 🚫 If you see something please report it!,” the animal hospital posted on their Facebook page Thursday afternoon.

The animal hospital did note that tail knotting does occasionally occur in the wild, but in this case it was a deliberate act of animal cruelty.

“Where these babies were found was also an indicator of animal cruelty,” the post stated.

If you see something, say something.
