Community trying to rescue stray dog with thick wire stuck around neck

In Roseville, California, a community of volunteers are trying to rescue a stray dog with a thick wire stuck around his neck.

“He has a wire contraption around his neck,” one citizen of the community told Cbs Sacramento News.

Those who have spotted the dog are afraid the wire could be on so tightly, it could be strangling the large dog. No one knows if the pup can eat or drink and want to get to him before it is too late. They fear he might be in severe pain.

The last sighting of the dog was on Baseline and Oak Streets on Wednesday. Animal Control has joined in the search and warns citizens to use caution when approaching the dog.
