rescue community answered plea for help

Earlier this month, when an Ohio dog rescue reached out for help following an influx of homeless puppy mill survivors, the community answered. Golden Retrievers In Need (GRIN) hoped to help care for the 58 golden retrievers, but they were short on foster homes and that critical component of rescue limited their ability to help.

Fortunately, the community answered the plea for help – so much so that the rescue group had to put a halt on incoming foster applications! The group wrote:

In response to our plea we are happy to say we have received a lot of foster applications! We ask that you do not submit any additional applications until we can get through what we have received. We are very grateful and humbled by the positive response and the large number of people who have stepped up to offer help.”

Foster homes literally save lives – without them, rescue agencies are unable to continue taking in the dogs who are so desperately in need of a second chance. Great job Cleveland, Ohio, community!
