Code red!
Spread the love

An ailing, senior dog is urgently in need of help at a busy California animal control agency. The American bulldog, dubbed Esme, is being held at the Riverside County Animal Control – City of Rialto facility, and her status is “code red” after holding period came and went with no owner stepping up to call her their own.

Esme was taken in at the facility on October 9 and her stray holding period ended on October 14 – why no one bothered to come get her is a mystery. Not only in Esme out of time, she is hurting and possibly sick. The shelter medical notes say, “MEDICAL NOTES: Arthritic, difficulty walking; possible blood in urine.”

Saving Esme

Esme needs to leave the facility. She needs to see a veterinarian for an exam and treatment, and she needs someone to love her. Will you please help save her? Networking is a powerful and effective tool.

  1. My heart aches for this poor furbaby…… she needs to be in a nice quiet home, being snuggled and reassurance that she is going to be ok and that the world is ok too.

It is heartbreaking to think of seniors being euthanized when they should be with their family…… to me, the worst fate is to be euthanized alone, afraid, in pain and unloved…….
