Bonded friends surrendered by owner – two months later, they wait to be saved

Over two months ago, a pair of bonded friends were surrendered to a busy California animal control agency. The senior dogs, Spike and Speedy, have been at the Baldwin Park animal control in Los Angeles County since October 11, and their time is running out.

On Tuesday, the Saving Baldwin Park Shelter Dogs Facebook page issued a plea on the pair’s behalf, writing:

Bonded pair that’s been at the shelter under the colahi program since 10-11. Owner is not able to take them back so they’ve been surrendered.💔 Can any rescues or adopters get these babies out together? They’ve been waiting for over 2 months now.🙏🏻😥

Spike and Speedy are undoubtedly confused about their current situation – how could they ever imagine that their home and family would disappear?
