An Indiana animal welfare agency is seeking answers after someone discovered a dead dog inside of an abandoned blue cage. The Marshall County Humane Society reached out to the public for help on Tuesday:
We are asking for help in finding the person (s) responsible for dumping this poor deceased dog in crate along 3a Rd. in Plymouth. The dog seems to be a small poodle type dog.
PLEASE help us find who could have committed such a cruel act to this innocent victim.
Blue crate, blue harness, sadly no microchip
According to WSBT News, the curly-haired, blond dog (possibly a poodle or golden-doodle) was curled up in a ball beside a brand new harness, blanket and two food dishes. Nobody knows how the dog died – or if the dog was still alive when the cage was dumped like garbage.
If you recognize this dog, or if you have any information at all, please reach out to the shelter at (574) 936-8300.
So sorry little one…you didn’t deserve this! #endcruelty
