At 15 years of age, a male pit bull named R2 was surrendered to a busy California animal control agency. R2 was left at the Los Angeles County Animal Control – Lancaster, facility on February 20 – now he waits.

This gray-faced senior is rightfully confused at his new “home.” There is nothing familiar in this strange environment…no scents that remind him of home, no voices that he has ever heard before. His days are filled with the sounds of barks and cries from other dogs, equally confused and distraught over their situation.

Please help find a reputable rescue agency to take R2 in, or a loving adoptive home. He deserves the ability to live the rest of his life in comfort and safety. You can find R2’s Petfinder link here.

Note: All inquiries about R2 must be made directly to the animal control agency. The Pet Rescue Report is not the point of contact.
