In Decorah, Iowa, a 21-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly killing two senior dogs with an ax on Saturday. Douglas Earl Usgaard faces two counts of animal torture and violating his pre-trial supervision – a felony.
According to KimtNews, used an ax to kill Trina, a 14-year-old Labradoodle and Maz, a 13-year-old Shih Tzu and Bichon mix at the home where he had been living. The dogs belonged to an elderly family member.
Usgaard is currently awaiting trial on charges for stealing to iPhones from the Luther College football stadium in July. He remains in custody at the Winneshiek County Jail.
A motive for killing the dogs is still not known.

What a scumbag! You read these stories and think you have heard it all; then some SOB like this guy comes along. He is now 21. If these any justice in this situation he will never see 22. Someone giving him a place to live and he repays them by killing 2 beloved companions. No mercy.
