After a year, homeless shelter dog has lost her spirit

After more than a year of living at a shelter without a home, a young dog has lost her spirit. The dog with a broken heart is Shelby and she has been at the SPCA of Dallas (Texas) for far too long.

This week, Shelby’s advocate writes:

SHELBY IS ONLY 3 SHE HAS BEEN BEHIND BARS FOR OVER A YEAR 💔 ONCE A HAPPY SHE LOST ALL HER INTEREST IN LIFE 💔.

Imaging craving love and attention, but being locked away. Imagine wanting to run and play, but being confined to a kennel run. Imagine the desire to roll in the grass, but being kept on a concrete floor, day in and day out for over a year.

This is the miserable life that Shelby has been enduring and it has taken a toll on her. You can lend this homeless shelter dog a hand by taking a moment to network this article – somewhere out there is the person who is willing to give Shelby a chance.
