Blind dog on kill list

Advocates are pleading for help on behalf of an eight-year-old blind dog who is said to be on an animal control agency’s “kill list.” On Monday, an advocate writes from the perspective of the senior dog, whose name is Jimmy:

Jimmy just heard from the side room that he’s going to be killed today. He figured this was going to happen because he’s 8 years old and blind but he didn’t know it would be so soon. If he could see he would try to find the nearest door to get the hell out of there.

Eight years of age is technically a senior, but Jimmy SHOULD have many more years to enjoy. But he won’t have the opportunity if he is not saved in time. Please take a moment to network on behalf of this deserving dog, who should be allowed to live out the remainder of his natural life in a home, with a loving owner.

  1. I have had 3 blind furbabies. They are wonderful companions. As long as you don’t move the furniture frequently, they are fine……

They beg for treats, snuggle, hate bath time………. like any other furbaby!!!

If I were local, I would foster (& probably adopt) this precious little treasure……..

    • NLL:

I hope this means he was rescued or adopted…… suspect he was euthanized (& I am heartbroken for him)……. so unfair……
