A puppy, apparently abandoned with an old, discarded chair, slowly starved while waiting for its owner to return. The sad images were posted to the Lost and Found Pets in Lincoln County, MS, Facebook group on Monday.

The post accompanying the images reads:

I get a message this morning to go check out this dog that’s in the chair, this is what I pulled up and seen. To the person that dumped this chair, your puppy was waiting for you to come back, slowly starving to death because it was afraid to leave the chair to find food. shame on you for doing this to this puppy.. but one day Karma will meet up with you

The person who posted the images is Sharon Norton, the Brookhaven animal control officer. As reported by WLBT News, the puppy is receiving care and will be placed up for adoption.

It should go without saying, pets cannot simply be abandoned. It is simply cruel (and illegal!) to walk away from a pet who is reliant on humans for food, water and shelter.

  1. Pure Evil……. I think the POS who abandoned this precious treasure is absolutely disgusting and headed to a reserved spot in Hell where s/he will burn forever for her/his cruelty…..

That poor furbaby…… Absolutely disgusting……. How can someone do this and still like what they see in the mirror looking back at them???

I would NOT walk or drive by this precious little treasure….. she would have been scooped up, taken to our vet and then home (what I did with Al, our latest addition to the Peters Puppy Pack)……. I would love this precious little treasure (& can’t understand how anyone could have abandoned her)……. I just want to snuggle her and reassure her that the world is OK……

Hope she heals ASAP and finds a new furever family where she will be treated as a beloved family member!!!
