At the Norwalk Animal Shelter in Connecticut on Friday, a three-year-old dog was picked up after the abandoned pup had been left tied to a tree with a note attached to her collar. The note read “couldn’t afford her please help” and calling her “amazing.”
The dog, named Annabell was found at Cranbury Park and left tied to a tree as outdoor temperatures soared to 84 degrees before noon. The note stated the owner had financial difficulties and could no longer afford the brindle three-year-old bully breed pooch.
“To whomever loves dogs: She’s an amazing dog. Human friendly. Dog Friendly. All shots. And a sweetheart.”
When discovered, Annabell was wearing a black collar with no identification tags. She is not micro-chipped.
In Connecticut, it is illegal to abandon an animal; a first offense could lead to a jail term and fine.
