Heartbroken after family gave him up

A dog in Moreno Valley, California, is experiencing unbearable heartache after his family left him at a busy animal control agency. The 10-year-old dog, named Grady, is so sad that he no longer eats…no longer gets up…no longer has hope.

An advocate writes:

He is so depressed, staff talks to him and he doesn’t move. The other dogs are barking, but he just lies on his bed. He stopped eating when he realized no one was coming back for him.

Saving Grady

There’s no way to explain to Grady why his family left, or why his new home is a lonely kennel run, surrounded by frantically barking dogs who are equally distressed and confused.

The only way to make Grady be happy is to get him into a loving home. You can help make that possible by sharing this article, with his adoption information.

  1. I think more and more humans are the most horrible group of creatures among all in the animal kingdom. How do you just drop a family member who has been a part of you for 10 years and just walk away. Do you think Grady had any idea what was happening and why you were doing this? He is scared, afraid and so lonely without you and do you scum care about him? Probably not. Hope Grady fines a true family who will never do this to him again.

  2. What can a person say When They too know the Chances of someone adopting Grady are so slim especially in California… My heart and soul HURT ALSO FOR HIM!!!

  3. Do we know if this dog gets along with other animals? Is he healthy enough too adopt and nurse back to health and happiness? If so, I am able to give him a forever home.
