At the Lone Star Boxer Rescue located in the Houston area of Texas, a plea went out to the organization asking for help with a 7-month-old Boxer puppy that had been left to die locked away in a crate by a dumpster. She was rushed to an emergency veterinarian team for life-saving treatment.

“Her name is Arabella. She is severely anemic, with a heart murmur and horrific open wounds. Parasites have taken over her young frail body and she is not able to eat.,” the rescue group posted on their Facebook page asking followers to for help with her medical bills.

The immediate concern has been to stabilize Arabella. She will require significant around-the-clock rehabilitation, blood transfusions and intensive medical care. Despite her condition however, the puppy’s trust and gratitude towards her rescuers showed through as she struggled to rest her head on the volunteer’s shoulder.
