In Daytona Beach, Florida, a store clerk has been accused of beating a tiny dog with the pole of a broom allegedly to “scare him” away. Subeg Bhullar, 39, was charged on Friday with felony animal cruelty.

According to the News Journal,  the owner of the dogs, Chandra Deonarine,  stated her sister had been caring for her two small pooches on Thursday morning when they escaped. The woman chased the dogs to the nearby 7-11 store where Bhullar had been sweeping the sidewalk outside. As the tiny Yorkshire terrier and Pomeranian mix ran by, Bhullar started swinging his broom and hit him with “extreme force,” according to a police report.

The pooch flew about 20 feet from the force of the blow and suffered life-threatening injuries. He was immediately taken to an animal hospital where veterinarians stated he had been bleeding from the ear, but was in stable condition pending further examination.

Bhullar told authorities he was only trying to “scare him” and not trying to hurt the dogs. A surveillance video, however showed the clerk intentionally striking the little dog. Bhullar was released on Friday from jail after posting a $10,000 bond.

  1. Ok – I give up what is that thing??? It’s not a human being so what the fuck is it? I’d like to take a stick to that savage maggot POS and beat it, then rub it’s ugly face on the sidewalk until only bones are visible. Then it can go around for the rest of its life looking like the rear end of a dog!!!!!

  2. A dog doesn’t go flying 20 feet if you are trying to scare it! This POS meant to hit that little dog and didn’t care whether he hurt it or not! He best be made to pay for the vet bills! And some jail time wouldn’t hurt either!

  3. What a total POS!!! Good thing I wasn’t there. That POS would be in the morgue (& I would be headed to prison)……
I wouldn’t tolerate anyone harming a family member (including dogs, cats & horses)……
