Dog found after car accident

A family had a lot to be grateful for this Thanksgiving – their dog, who vanished after a car accident on I-95, has been found. Emmett, a black Labrador mix, ran away from the wrecked car following the October accident.

Fast forward 42 days, and the wayward dog was finally found. As reported by First Coast News,  Ashley Thomas, who was in the car with her son Tegan, searched everywhere for her runaway dog. She tells the news agency,

“We walked all over, screaming his name. We walked to the woods, and nothing.”

Just over a month later, Emmett was found at a Walmart store and then reunited with his grateful family. Time away took a toll on Emmett’s body – he is extremely malnourished and is in need of veterinary care.

The family has created a fundraiser to help get Emmett all of the care that he needs to recover. You can find his GoFundMe fundraiser here.
