A three-month-old puppy arrived at a rural Texas animal shelter. He had been brutally attacked and left with large, open wounds filled with maggots. The gashes around and above his eye were deep as are the hundreds of bite marks all over his tiny body.
Named Theo, it is not known if the defenseless puppy had been a bait dog or had he been attacked by another dog?
On Tuesday, Rescue Dogs Rock NYC, stepped up to help the puppy left at the shelter to die. Rushed to the organization’s emergency veterinarian hospital, Theo has received a blood transfusion and will require surgery to repair his gaping wounds.
