In Boston, Massachusetts, the Animal Rescue League is looking to find a new home for the holidays. Meet senior city kitty Tangee – a friendly feline who was abandoned by her owner.

A man recently dropped off at Logan International Airport gave his driver Tangee accompanied by a note indicating he was moving to Florida and couldn’t take his pet with him. The driver brought the cat to Boston Animal Control. Although the cat has a microchip, it was not registered – therefore impossible to followup on the cat’s abandonment.

Tangee does have signs of early renal disease most likely due to her advanced age, however her health is overall fine.

“She deserves to be out of the shelter and in a loving home for the holidays, and with your help, he will make it happen,” the ARL wrote.
