A pair of elderly dogs, 17 and 18 years of age, are homeless at a busy California animal control agency after being surrendered by their owner. According to Save SBC Shelter Pups, they are accompanied by their one-year-old buddy Elmer.

All of the dogs are located at the San Bernardino City Animal Shelter – they have been available for adoption since April 18. Save SBC Shelter Pups explains the need for networking assistance for these homeless dogs:

San Bernardino City Shelter, CA doesn’t have many networkers, we really need your help sharing our dogs. The local rescues are full and we’re in big trouble!

It’s tough to be an old dog…and even tougher to be an old dog without a home or person to love. Please help these dogs (Benjamin, Baxter and Elmer) find a new family – you can assist them by sharing this article, with their adoption information.

  1. It absolutely breaks my heart to think of these special treasures alone, afraid and worst of all, unloved in the shelters (I know that old, “special needs” animals are usually at the very top of the euthanasia lists)…….

I can’t imagine ever giving up, let alone abandoning, a senior furbaby…….. The POS’s who abandoned these precious little treasures will burn in Hell forever for their cruelty…….

I am in Northern CA and I am absolutely heartbroken for these precious treasures.

I hate to think of them being euthanized just for being old and “existing”…….

Does anyone have contacts at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah? Or Frosted Faces based in San Diego, CA?

I have heard of 2 other groups that take on challenging cases: Rescue Dogs Rock (East Coast placements from other areas) and No Paws Left Behind (I think they are based in Southern California)…… I wish I knew specific people to contact from these groups…..

  2. WHAT THE F … IS WRONG WITH THESE BRAINLESS HEARTLESS LUNATICS?!
Please help these senior sweethearts get the loving homes they deserve!
