An elderly dog, 16 years of age, has run out of time at a busy Los Angeles animal control agency. The dog, Flower, has been at the Los Angeles Animal Services West Valley shelter since August 11 and she is now on the list of dogs to be put down.

Networking advocates are hoping that Flower will be saved before the unthinkable happens. Hours ago, a social media plea was made on her behalf:

Flower will take her last breath today. She is scheduled for euthanasia in a matter of hours. Flower is 16, blind, and weighs a mere 11lbs. Please help us share her for a rescue/foster/adopter. Her story cannot end like this. LOS ANGELES (West Valley Shelter), CA

Will you please take a moment to help this elderly dog get the second chance that she needs? You can lend her a hand by networking her adoption information – time is of the essence.

  1. WTF is wrong with people??? Most of us want our furbabies to be with us for as long as possible and we savor each and every day our precious treasures are with us……

This so called family who abandoned Flower has reserved places in Hell waiting where they will burn forever for their cruelty……

I hope Frosted Faces or Leave No Paws Behind or another rescue group can save Flower. She deserves to be treated as a beloved family member for however long a time she has left and not die in the shelter alone, afraid and (worst of all) unloved…….

I feel so helpless being in Northern California……. otherwise I would offer our home as hospice care for her. Flower absolutely deserves to die knowing that she was loved…….
