In Canajoharie, New York, police arrested a 28-year-old woman for allegedly throwing a puppy out of a second-story window. Joanne Hoose has been charged with Aggravated Cruelty to Animals.
According to the Montgomery County SPCA, Wrinkles, a seven-month-old puppy suffered five broken bones in his forelimb, and a fractured femur. On Friday, the puppy underwent surgery. His prognosis looks great:
“I just want you to know that I talked to Jan from the shelter. First of all and most importantly, he is being cared for and loved and we’ll make it through this.
He did have surgery. He has a cast on his forelimb that had five broken bones. His back femur fracture was closed which is good. He has gone into a wonderful foster home where he can get the attention he needs.
There will definitely be daily therapy on his back leg. He still has a long journey ahead of him and recovery will take a few months.
The shelter still needs your support and any donations on the behalf of Wrinkles would be greatly appreciated.”
Wrinkles will be undergoing daily therapy until his injuries are all healed. His future looks bright, and we can’t wait to see him running around the yard – just as a puppy should be doing. To help with his medical expenses, donations can be made by clicking here.
