What a sad face: Left behind when his family moved away

What a sad face. Sadly, there isn’t much known about this sweet older pup, who has been described as a shepherd, collie and Labrador retriever mix. His story at the Davidson County Animal Shelter begins here:

“Shelter Mom can’t tell you much about me and what she does know probably won’t get me rescued. My people moved back to Mexico and couldn’t take me. Animal Control brought me the shelter.”

For days this depressed dog refused to eat and a bowl of untouched kibble remained in the corner of his kennel cage.

“…So she brought me a bowl of soft food – ate every bite; turns out I have no teeth to speak of except my two canines.”

The veterinarian tech thinks this sweet senior may have been chewing on something metal that ruined his teeth. He is not neutered and eight or nine years old. Is there a rescue that can help this poor guy? Surely he deserves better than what has happened and where he now waits for his family to return.

Please share this dog’s plight with friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives. This senior needs help. Follow his Facebook page here.

  1. Please rescue or foster this dog. Is a loving family dog whose family left him. Needs wet food since he has minimal teeth, but he can eat soft foods. Give a senior a home for the remainder of his life. He will reward you with so much love it will be well worth giving him a home.

  2. WELL IT TIME TO ADOPRT THE ANGEL AND MAKES HIM HAPPY !!! MENY SCUMBAGS SHOULD BE BEHIND BARS =NOT DOGS OR OTHER ANIMALS !!
