A very good boy, who “radiates goodness,” is waiting for a home at a busy New York City animal care center. His name is Bruno and he has been at the Brooklyn facility since September.

A volunteer shares insight

Who better to offer insight to a homeless shelter pup than a volunteer? Notes from someone who has spent time with Bruno include:

Spending time with Bruno will make you feel like everything is right in the world — what a dreamboat! He talks from his cage, and while I can’t claim to be 100% fluent in his language, I’m pretty sure he’s saying “There’s been a mistake! We’re supposed to be together!” He radiates goodness and wears his heart in his NON-STOP wiggle.

Prior owner insight

His previous owner reports that he is relaxed and playful with children, respectful of cats, gets along with female dogs, and that he’s fully housebroken (he seems it!). He absolutely loves to play fetch, carries stuffed bears around the block, and is very treat motivated. Choosing between treats and toys would be like picking a favorite child for Bruno, but his #1 love is people.

The goodness that everyone keeps referring to can easily be seen in this video of Bruno

  1. Please, there has to be someone who would love to give this gorgeous boy his furever home with lots of love and safe adventures thrown in. Thoughts and Prayers for Bruno to meet his ideal furever family really soon.

  2. Shelters in NYC are kill shelters so Bruno can be killed if crowded or another issue. He is such a good boy and would adjust to a loving family with the proper intros. Potential adopters need to know that some dogs can go into a home and that’s it, no adjustment, but most dogs need time to familiarize themselves to their new surroundings so always give them time. We got our sweet dog a year ago in the Manhattan ACC and she is such a loving dog.Took her time to adjust, but it’s like she has always been here.
